Pam Bondi has recently made headlines as the attorney general nominee chosen by President-elect Donald Trump. During her confirmation hearing in January 2025, she stated that “politics would not play a part” if she were confirmed for the role, according to The New York Times. During the hearing, Pam highlighted her background as the former attorney general of Florida, saying, “In 2011, I was elected Attorney General of Florida and proudly served for two terms. In that role, my top priority was keeping Florida safe and standing up for victims and their families. When my term began, Florida was overwhelmed by pill mills and opioid deaths. I fought for tough legislation and worked to eliminate these drug dealers from our state. We also protected human trafficking victims by raising awareness, providing critical resources, and creating additional safe houses.” She went on to emphasize that, if confirmed as the U.S. attorney general, she would “work to restore confidence and integrity to the Department of Justice – and each of its components. Under my watch, the partisan weaponization of the Department of Justice will end.” Pam continued, “America must have one tier of justice for all. In all this work, I would collaborate closely with this Committee and others in Congress, my colleagues throughout the federal government, and our partners in state and local law enforcement and around the world. I look forward to answering your questions today and working together in the years ahead.” As she prepares for a potential new role, many wonder whether she has a partner supporting her throughout her career. Wendy Williams is pushing back against claims that she is suffering from cognitive impairment following her diagnosis of progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. The former talk-show host appeared on "The Breakfast Club" on Thursday, where she refuted the notion that she requires the extensive care she is currently receiving. Charlamagne tha God, a co-host of the show and a long-time friend of Williams, introduced her, stating that she is "being taken advantage of." "I am not cognitively impaired," Williams asserted, adding, "But I do feel like I am in prison." She described her living situation among residents in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, emphasizing that at 60, she still feels "sexy and gorgeous." She expressed concern about the well-being of those around her, saying, "There's something wrong with these people here on this floor." Last year, Williams' representatives announced her diagnosis of progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, conditions known to affect cognitive abilities and communication, according to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. During her conversation with "The Breakfast Club," she voiced her dissatisfaction with the facility's restrictions, noting that she is not allowed to leave or have visitors. "You can't even leave and take a walk if you wanted to," she lamented. Accompanying her was her niece, Alex Fannie, who described her aunt's residence as a "luxury prison." Fannie recounted her own experience visiting Williams, highlighting the excessive security measures and intrusive questioning she faced. "I mean, it was absolutely just horrible," she said, adding that her aunt is unable to contact family or friends or access the internet. Williams expressed feeling "trapped in a conservatorship" and lamented spending several birthdays alone, which she likened to "emotional abuse." In 2022, she was placed under a court-ordered financial guardianship. CNN has reached out to her legal guardian, attorney Sabrina Morrissey, for a response. Williams hosted the widely popular "The Wendy Williams Show" from 2008 until its cancellation in 2022, facing numerous health challenges in the latter years of the show's run. In 2017, she collapsed during a live episode due to an electrolyte imbalance, and by 2018, she took a medical leave for Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder. In 2019, various guest hosts stepped in as she recovered from a shoulder fracture. Williams was unable to host her show during the 2021-2022 season, leading to its eventual cancellation. Fannie criticized the conservatorship system and suggested that a new medical evaluation could potentially restore some of her aunt's independence. "I'm not asking for a whole lot," Fannie stated. "All I'm saying is just treat the woman with dignity and give her the freedoms that she deserves." CNN — Wendy Williams is responding to claims suggesting that she is struggling with impairment following her diagnosis of progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. The former talk-show host spoke with the "The Breakfast Club" on Thursday, where she denied that she needs the level of care she's currently receiving. Charlamagne tha God, one of the co-hosts of the show and a friend of Williams for two decades, welcomed her as a guest and remarked that Williams is "being exploited." "I may not have any cognitive impairments," Williams stated. "However, I do feel as though I am trapped in a prison." Williams shared that she finds herself "surrounded by people in their 90s, 80s, and 70s," and noted that at 60, she still feels "sexy and beautiful." Despite the advanced age of those around her, she remarked, "There’s definitely something off about the people on this floor." Representatives for Williams announced last year that she was diagnosed with progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023. The conditions can impair cognitive function, communication and speech in impacted individuals, according to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. On Thursday, Williams had a lengthy discussion with "The Breakfast Club," where she shared her disappointment regarding the restrictions at her current living facility, stating that it doesn't permit her to leave or have any visitors. "You can't even step out for a walk if that's what you wanted to do," Williams remarked. Her niece, Alex Fannie, accompanied her and remarked that her aunt is residing in what she describes as a "luxury prison." "She spends all her time in that same room, day in and day out, without getting enough natural light," her niece remarked. "When I visited her in New York last October, the security measures and the barrage of questions I faced—like, 'Who are you? What brings you here? What's your intention?'—were just terrible." Finnie mentioned that her aunt is unable to contact family or friends, nor can she access the internet. Williams expressed that she feels "confined within a conservatorship" and has celebrated multiple birthdays in solitude, likening the experience to "emotional abuse." In 2022, Williams was assigned a court-mandated financial guardian. CNN has contacted her legal representative, attorney Sabrina Morrissey, for a statement. Williams ran her well-known daytime talk show "The Wendy Williams Show" from 2008 until 2022. As the show's production neared its conclusion, she encountered several health challenges. Williams passed while hosting an episode in 2017, later explaining that an electrolyte imbalance had caused her to collapse. She took a medical leave from production in 2018 to deal with Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder, on her doctor's orders. In 2019, multiple guest hosts filled in for Williams for several weeks as she recovered from a fractured shoulder. Williams was unable to present her show during the 2021-2022 television season, leading to its eventual cancellation. Finnie expressed concerns about the conservatorship system and wondered whether a new medical assessment could potentially help her aunt regain a degree of independence. "I'm not asking for much," Fannie expressed. "All I'm asking is to treat the woman with respect. She deserves the freedoms that are rightfully hers."

Wendy Williams recently spoke out about Sean “Diddy” Combs while on the air. The talk show host had a longstanding feud with Combs for years before they squashed their beef. In January 2025, Williams discussed the horrors of her conservatorship — and she threw in a prediction regarding Combs’ legal troubles. Here’s what she said about his potential prison sentence and what she allegedly “knows.” Wendy Williams shared her thoughts on what Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' prison sentence might entail. Wendy Williams and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ feud spans back to the ’90s. In 2005, Williams claimed on her radio show, The Wendy Williams Experience, that the girl group, Total, signed to Combs’ record label Bad Boy Records, nearly jumped her. In 2019, she revived the conversation and hinted that Combs was involved. Williams discussed her firing from Hot 97 in 2013 and hinted that Combs had to do with that as well. Additionally, Williams wrote in her book, The Wendy Williams Experience, that she has “contempt” for Combs. “I will never forget,” she wrote. “But I don’t hate him.” Williams and Combs buried the hatchet later. In 2024, Combs was arrested and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Williams has spoken out about the arrest. She gave more insight into the situation while speaking on Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM in January 2025. “She concluded the call with a definitive statement: ‘Diddy is facing a life sentence, everyone. You have no idea about the secrets I hold regarding Diddy from the past. … Honestly, it’s about time this happens. Diddy is finished.’” Wendy Williams once claimed that she had predicted the mogul's legal issues. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Wendy Williams was present at the premiere of Apple TV+’s ‘The Morning Show’ held at David Geffen Hall on October 28, 2019, as captured by Theo Wargo/Getty Images. Throughout her career, Wendy Williams reconciled with Sean “Diddy” Combs, yet she often harbored doubts about his actions. “What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it,’” she told DailyMail.com in October 2024, “including some people from my family who have said the same.” Williams mentioned the video showing Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, in a hotel setting. “You know how I feel about that? It is about time,” Williams noted. “To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific. But now you have to think; how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.” In The Wendy Williams Experience, Williams elaborated on how Combs “hides” how dangerous he is. “In my opinion, Puffy is a very dangerous man,” she wrote. “ … Puffy hides behind his shiny suits, which makes him more dangerous because you don’t necessarily see him coming.” Sean 'Diddy' Combs' court proceedings may be delayed past May 2025. Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to head to trial in May 2025. However, prosecutors predict that the trial could get pushed if a “superseding indictment” involving minors is filed. “Minors present a completely different set of circumstances,” Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor, told Law&Crime Network, according to DailyMail.com. “We know through his lawyers, Combs is arguing that the sexual activity happened, but it was consensual. Of course, for sex trafficking, you need one of those elements: force, thought, or coercion. Obviously, minors cannot consent to any sexual activity, so that would be a very different defense entirely.” Combs is presently located at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Although he had aspirations of securing bail earlier in the proceedings, that outcome did not materialize. Alleged victims are still stepping forward with their claims.

(Credits: Far Out / YouTube Image Still) Burt Reynolds might never have achieved the dramatic prowess of Marlon Brando or the industry influence of Clint Eastwood, but he was an undisputed star in his heyday, balancing rugged masculinity with self-aware humour. Movies like Smokey and the Bandit made him an icon of the 1970s, while his breakout role in John Boorman’s Deliverance proved that he could do more than project charisma. Reynolds secured his start as an actor after an injury forced him to stop playing college football. He knocked around on television for a while, playing cops and hunky blacksmiths before he bridged the gap to movies. He hit the peak of his career in the late 1970s and early ‘80s, playing hyper-masculine characters in movies like Semi-Tough and Cannonball Run. He rarely appeared in critically acclaimed movies, but it didn’t matter; he was one of the most popular stars in America. By the late 1980s, Reynolds' career was on the decline. His portrayals began to feel increasingly redundant, putting him at risk of turning into a caricature of his former self. Throughout this time, he faced a series of commercial failures, one of which led to his most challenging encounter with a female co-star. The film was 1988’s Switching Channels, a remake of the 1928 play (and 1931 film) The Front Page, which was also adapted into the classic 1940 romantic comedy His Girl Friday. Reynolds stars as the director of a cable network whose ex-wife, played by Kathleen Turner, is his star news anchor. They spar constantly, but ultimately, of course, fall madly back in love. Unfortunately, things were not so romantic off-screen. In a 2018 interview with The Palm Springs Desert Sun, Reynolds identified the film as one of his biggest professional mistakes, pointing directly to Turner as the cause. “That was the only leading lady I couldn’t get along with at all,” he confessed. “She had this thing about me and she was probably right. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. But, at least I was trying to be nice to everybody.” When the interviewer inquired if he was referring to Turner, Reynolds casually responded, “Yep.” It was almost as if he was signaling, “Let’s move on to the next topic.” This is a fairly diplomatic description of an unpleasant on-set experience, especially considering that Reynolds was not the only one who found Turner to be a challenging co-star. Although she was one of the most prominent actors in the ‘80s with movies like Romancing the Stone, Body Heat, and Peggy Sue Got Married, she frequently clashed with other actors and suffered a sharp career decline. For her part, Turner was equally unimpressed with Reynolds and once said that he was responsible for the worst on-screen kiss of her career. In a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair, she gave her side of the feud. “Working with Burt Reynolds was terrible,” she said, revealing that he made her cry on the very first day of shooting. “He said something about not taking second place to a woman,” she continued. “His behaviour was shocking. It never occurred to me that I wasn’t someone’s equal.” It goes without saying that they never collaborated again. Associated Subjects

Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images for Vulture Festival Wendy Williams is convinced that Sean “Diddy” Combs will never see freedom again. During a recent call-in with The Breakfast Club on Thursday (Jan. 16), the legendary talk show host didn’t hold back when asked about the disgraced Bad Boy CEO. "Williams forecasted, 'Diddy is facing a lifetime behind bars, folks. You have no idea of the secrets I’ve known about him from years ago. Honestly, it’s about time this happened. Diddy’s time is up.'" Her long-standing grudge against Combs dates back to 1998 when she alleged he “single-handedly” got her fired from Hot 97. In her 2004 book, The Wendy Williams Experience, she wrote about her “contempt” for Diddy and the struggles she endured because of him. “The hell he put me through—I will never forget. But I don’t hate him,” she said. In 2019, she alleged that a certain influential "music mogul" dispatched a group of women to confront her outside a radio station, with many suggesting that Diddy was behind the scheme. "There was a time when a music mogul sent his female entourage to assault me right in front of the radio station. It's true!" she recounted back then. "After I completed my shift, I took off my headphones, slung my bag over my shoulder, and noticed a crowd gathering at the window, all staring down at the sidewalk." The media maven’s disdain for the 55-year-old isn’t a new feeling as she accused the Hip-Hop mogul of derailing her career in 1998. After a few other syndicated radio shows, Williams went on to have her own daytime talk show from 2008 to 2022, when production stopped due to her health. A year later the National Radio Hall of Famer was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and progressive aphasia—although she’s asserted that she’s “not cognitively impaired.” During the TBC interview, Williams emotionally opened up about her conservatorship, which she compared to a “luxury prison.” She said, “My life is a mess. It feels like I’m trapped in a cage. I’m really alone. I keep my door shut, spend my time watching TV, listening to the radio, and staring out the window. I just sit here as time passes me by. I’m surrounded by people in their 90s, 80s, and 70s. There’s something off about the folks on this floor.” Through her tears, she pleaded, “They won’t let you go or have anyone come to see you. You can’t even step outside for a walk, go on a trip, or see your family. I’m terrified I won’t get to celebrate my dad’s 94th birthday with him. The day after that isn’t guaranteed.” View pictures in App save up to 80% data. On July 23, 2019, Wendy Williams participated in a SiriusXM Town Hall event, which was hosted by SiriusXM's Karen Hunter at the SiriusXM Studios in New York City. This event was captured by Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images for SiriusXM. As for Diddy, he’s currently being held in an actual jail as he awaits trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5. He is held on the federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking—which he has denied any wrongdoing. The father of seven has faced bail denial on three separate occasions, with prosecutors asserting that his purported participation in "freak-off" sex parties involved pressuring both women and men into engaging in extreme activities, some of which are reportedly recorded on video. If found guilty, Diddy could potentially receive a life sentence in prison.

The mom of two shared a glimpse of her life in the suburbs with her daughters, Haley and Hope, after making an emotional exit from the long-running talk show. On Tuesday, January 14, Hoda posted some pictures and a video capturing her morning routine of dropping the kids off at school. “School drop!!! Let’s goooo!” she exclaimed in her post. Her fans were thrilled to witness Hoda finally getting the chance to see her children off to school in the morning. Haley, 8, wore a knit hat with her middle name, Joy, printed on it, while Hope, 5, was seen wearing a knit hat with her name printed on it. Hoda rocked a Today With Hoda & Jenna hat during the school drop off and had a huge smile on her face. She officially left the show on January 10 after 17 years. The family of three bundled up in winter coats to combat the frigid air in the suburbs of New York City. Hoda moved to her new quiet neighborhood with the girls last year after entering the “repotting” phase of her life. So far, it seems like their new home is everything they dreamed of and more, and boasts plenty of space for the family of three. “I love the term ‘repotting.’ It’s like you’re pulled up by your very roots, your foundation, everything that grounds you, and your roots are in the air and you’re scared. ‘Where am I going to land?’” the broadcaster told Today viewers late last year. She said that she learned the term “repotting” from longtime pal Maria Shriver, and it has been part of her vocabulary ever since. “Maria is my go-to person. You referred to it once as a ‘flat tire friend’ call—the one you reach out to when you're feeling low and lost, unsure of your next steps,” Hoda shared. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. It takes immense courage to let go of something you cherish and step into uncertainty," Maria said to Hoda. "It's truly courageous to believe, 'There's something greater waiting for me. I may not know what it is, but I'm ready to move forward.'" Hoda posted another update featuring pictures from the school drop-off on Thursday, January 16. She captioned it, “Just another typical… everyday… amazing day xo.” Who is your all-time favorite host of the 'Today' Show? "This truly brings tears to my eyes. Even though I struggle to watch the show without you, this is the most heartwarming thing to see," remarked another individual. “Thank you for continuing to share your mornings w us! Wendy Williams expressed her strong belief that 'Diddy is destined for life in prison.' Former talk show host Wendy made a guest appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show this morning, hosted by Charlamagne tha God. Charlamagne - who once worked on audio on The Wendy Williams Show - addressed the TV star’s own former career in radio. Wendy previously worked at the radio station HOT 97, where she was let go following several disparaging remarks about Diddy. In her book, The Wendy Williams Experience, she suggests that she believes Diddy played a role in her dismissal, expressing that she harbored “a certain level of contempt for Puff” due to his attempts to “single-handedly ruin” her career. Wendy remarked that it was 'about time' he faced some consequences for his actions. "Hey Wendy, it's been years since you got let go from HOT 97 due to Diddy. Looking back at it now and seeing Diddy's current status, how do you reflect on that whole situation?" Charlamagne inquired. Wendy replied: “When I watch TMZ and I see the stuff that goes on, I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ And then all the sudden I see me on TMZ. So it’s really weird seeing me on TMZ… "When it comes to Diddy, mark my words, he’s facing a life sentence, folks. There are things about Diddy from the past that you’re not aware of, and you know what? It’s high time this happened. It’s definitely time for Diddy to face the music." Wendy’s firm words about Diddy come after a PR expert weighed in on the silence from most celebrities, and claimed that they’re scared to speak out either in support or judgement of the rapper. “Unlike Harvey Weinstein or R. Kelly, the response to Diddy's arrest is massively quiet within the celebrity community," celebrity crisis expert Eric Schiffer, told the Mirror. Commenting on the situation in Hollywood, he remarked: "Stars are keeping quiet because they fear for their reputations being exposed under the spotlight and facing backlash from fans due to their connections with Diddy. Even worse, they dread the possibility of being summoned to disclose Diddy's hidden truths." Diddy is currently behind bars at the ruthless Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he is awaiting trial after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution. The rapper is expected to be locked up until his trial kicks off on May 5. However, there are concerns that Diddy is exerting power from behind bars. The rapper has requested bail multiple times, and a court filing from November saw prosecutors urge the judge to reject him. They wrote that a review of recorded jail calls made by Combs showed he had asked family members to reach out to potential victims and witnesses and urge them to create "narratives" to influence the jury pool. "The defendant has consistently demonstrated - even while incarcerated - a blatant disregard for the rules, aiming to inappropriately influence the results of his case. In essence, the defendant has proven that he cannot be relied upon to follow any established rules or conditions," prosecutors stated in a submission that included redacted portions.
